Apple Vision Pro changes everything: Why the WVS team is excited to support VisionOS developers.
I still vividly remember meeting Mike Rockwell, Apple head of AR/VR, back in 2016 and giving him a demo of TheBlu Whale Encounter VR experience which Wevr had developed on the HTC Vive headset. Needless to say, I’ve been waiting for Apple’s entry into the space ever since. There’s much to be said and being said about the Vision Pro. I’m going to touch on three aspects of the Vision OS and Vision Pro platform that standout to me and make this device the next leap in spatial computing.

WVS
Why WVS?
We've been building games and interactive projects for decades. We wanted to make a purpose-built platform for creators using game engines, and make it easier for them to develop projects together. We made this happen for our community, our fellow creators and teams developing real-time 3D projects using game engines.

What is a virtual studio?
The term “virtual” is increasingly used today to describe all things digital versus physical, especially since Covid. We have virtual meetings, virtual events, virtual machines in the cloud, and of course virtual reality. The definition of “studio” is “an artist’s workroom”. The word “studio” is typically used to describe a creative space, as in a music recording studio or a film production studio.

TheBlu Refresh
Sharks are way cool. They are incredible creatures, some of the oldest on planet earth. Why do we think it is ok to chop off their fins, and kill them en masse? (The recent U.S banning of shark fin sales is a step in the right direction).
